In 2018, a Saturday is reserved at a prominent area in a busy Winnipeg mall where people of all ages could play a rated chess or scrabble player in a friendly match without any prize. On site chess and scrabble clinic will also be given by Steve Udarbe to interested group of people. Sinclair Park Community Centre is host to the drop in weekly gatherings of Mind Sports Manitoba (Sinclair Park Community Centre Chess and Scrabble Club) for active and new members who can experience live chess and scrabble games on the spot with other players. SPCC is located at 490 Sinclair Street, accessible by regular transit buses on Route 71 (Portage-Sinclair), and through Arlington Street and Church Avenue. Gatherings start at 5 pm and last till 9 pm on Wednesdays, unless otherwise announced by MSM through email. Phone number of the centre is 204-586-8275. Chess and scrabble clinics by experienced and active chess/scrabble players are planned for Winnipeg schools later this year. In the Spring of 2015, chess clinics will be planned for Andrew Mynarski School and Sisler High School. On site clinics for all ages of beginners will be staged during tournaments and fundraising events.

Registration:$20;Students below 16 years,$10; Prizes:Trophies, medals and cash
First Executive Invitational Chess Championship: A tournament exclusively for executives, professionals (doctors, engineers, lawyers etc.)
Open Chess Team Tournament: Team chess open to all regardless of chess ratings and residency.
